GottaCon is excited to invite you all to a fun filled evening of NERF war Humans vs. Zombies craziness which is being put on by the Uvic Urban Gaming Club. This event is free of charge but you need to bring your own NERF weaponry, ammo and a bandanna or similar piece of cloth to wear. You probably want to know more so here is a snipped from their event and a link to their website for more details on how the game is played, recommended weapons, etc.

Humans vs. Zombies is an alternate reality game based in the zombie apocalypse. The game is at its base tag crossed with capture the flag and a few other games tossed in for good measure. Human survivors arm themselves with Nerf (or Nerf like) blasters, marshmallows and socks to stun the oncoming zombie horde. Zombies armed with their wits and parkour attempt to tag and turn human players into zombies.

Some important things to note:

- In the past there has been an entrance fee paid to play the game. Now we are offering the game as free to play but the bandanna is no longer supplied to players and everyone must bring their own.

- Bring a bandanna or brightly coloured piece of cloth to mark whether you’re a Human or Zombie. You’ll be wearing this all day, make sure you can comfortably tie it around your arm and head.

- In the rules it is stated that melee is heavily discouraged, yes, this means don’t bring it.

- Also the Uvic Urban Gaming Club will be holding a collection for the Child’s Play Charity, if you want to help buy games for sick kids by tossing in a dollar or two to play this game, it’d be rad. To supplement the collection bin there will be shirts and other Urban Gaming swag for sale with proceeds going to charity.
